What is Road Safety Week?

Road Safety Week aims to inspire thousands of schools, organisations and communities to take action on road safety and promote life-saving messages during the Week and beyond.

It is UK's biggest road safety event, coordinated annually by Brake, the road safety charity. This year’s theme is No Need for Speed. Whether you’re regularly in a car, on your motorbike or travelling in your motorhome, check in on your speed. Someone is injured every 4 minutes in the UK.

In a crash, 1mph can mean the difference between life and death, but we know that people still regularly break speed limits or travel too fast for the conditions of the road. 

When it comes to safety, it’s simple: speed matters.
