The AutoSilver extended car warranty covers a wide range of mechanical and electrical components in your vehicle against sudden and unexpected failures. Coverage includes major systems such as the engine, transmission, fuel system, brakes, steering, cooling system, and electrical components. Specific parts like the engine's rocker assembly, cylinder head, oil pump, and turbocharger are included, along with the transmission's drive shafts and differential. Electrical coverage extends to starter motors, alternators, and electric window motors. Additionally, certain hybrid vehicle components like the electric drive motor and hybrid control modules are covered. This comprehensive coverage ensures that critical vehicle components are protected, minimising your out-of-pocket repair costs for covered breakdowns.
Your vehicle must be less than 10 years old and have less than 100,000 miles at the start of the coverage. It should be mechanically sound and used primarily for private purposes in the UK.
Exclusions include wear and tear, routine maintenance, bodywork, and trim. Consumables like bulbs, brake pads, and tires are not covered.
Yes, you can extend the warranty on a van under the AutoSilver policy, provided the van meets certain criteria. It must be a small commercial vehicle weighing less than 3,500kg gross weight and designed to carry no more than eight people including the driver. The vehicle must be used primarily for private purposes on public highways, although coverage can be extended to other uses with an agreement from the insurer and payment of any additional premium. This makes it possible for van owners to enjoy extended warranty protections similar to those available for cars, ensuring that their commercial vehicles can also benefit from extended coverage against mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
Yes, you can transfer the warranty to a new private owner if no claims have been made and there is no outstanding finance on the policy. An administrative fee may be applied.

Regular servicing in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations at a VAT registered garage is required to maintain coverage. Service records must be kept and presented if a claim is made.
We offer flexible payment instalments of 12, 24, and 36-month options to suit your needs.
We typically advise choosing from our network of Approved Repairers, who are assessed to ensure top-quality service and repair. However, if you have a preferred garage, make sure it is VAT registered and adheres to the 'Repairs Procedure' detailed in our booklet and confirm that their labour rates are compatible with those specified in your warranty schedule.
Every Best4 policy includes a 14-day money-back guarantee with no questions asked. You can cancel your plan anytime within the first 14 days. If you haven't initiated any repair claims, we will process the cancellation and issue a full refund of your payment.
After the 14-day period, if you have not made a claim, you can still receive a pro rata refund based on the number of months remaining, subject to the deduction of an administration fee of £35.
